This is the Privacy Policy for Boruk Games, the website at borukgames.com. It explains what data we collect when you visit the site, how we use it, and the choices you have.

The short version: we don't ask you to create an account or hand over personal information. We use Google Analytics to understand how many people visit and which games they play, so we can make the site better. That's it.

1. Who we are

Boruk Games is a personal project that hosts a small collection of browser-based board games. The site is operated by Nicholas Graff. For any questions about this policy or your data, you can reach us at contact@borukgames.com.

2. Information we collect

We collect a limited amount of information automatically when you visit the site, through Google Analytics:

Pages you view and the order in which you view them
Approximate geographic location (typically country and city level, derived from IP address)
Browser type, operating system, and device category (e.g., desktop or mobile)
Referring website (where you came from before visiting us)
Date, time, and duration of your visit
Screen resolution and language preference

We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, or any other directly identifying personal information. We do not have user accounts, and we do not ask you to log in.

3. How we use this information

The data described above is used solely to:

Understand how visitors find and use the site
Identify which games are popular and which need improvement

We do not sell your data. We do not share it with third parties for marketing purposes. We do not use it to build advertising profiles of individual visitors.

4. Cookies and similar technologies

Boruk Games uses cookies set by Google Analytics. These cookies (such as _ga and _ga_*) help Google Analytics distinguish unique visitors and remember session information. They typically expire after up to 2 years.

You can block or delete these cookies through your browser settings, or install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on to prevent any data being sent to Google Analytics from your browser. Blocking these cookies will not affect your ability to play any games on the site.

5. Third-party services

The site uses the following third-party services:

Google Analytics — for the usage analytics described above. See Google's Privacy Policy and how Google Analytics safeguards your data.
Firebase Hosting — provides the servers that deliver the site to your browser. Firebase is a Google service and also handles standard request logs (IP, user agent, timestamp) as part of its normal operation. See Firebase's privacy and security info.
Google Fonts — the typefaces used on this site are served by Google Fonts, which receives basic request information (such as your IP address) when your browser loads them.

If we add advertising (such as Google AdSense) in the future, we will update this policy in advance to disclose what those services collect and how.

6. How long we keep your data

Google Analytics retains user-level and event-level data for the configured retention period (currently 14 months). After that, aggregated reports may still be available, but the underlying user-level records are deleted.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have certain rights regarding your data:

Right to access — request information about what data we hold about you
Right to deletion — request that we delete your data
Right to opt out — opt out of analytics tracking using the tools described above
Right to data portability — request a copy of your data in a portable format

Boruk Games is not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 in the European Economic Area). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with information, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, particularly if we add new features (such as user accounts, advertising, or additional analytics tools). When we do, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Substantive changes will be highlighted on the home page for a reasonable period.
